As Diplomat begins to transition to Optum Specialty Pharmacy, you will begin to see some branding changes to your specialty prescriptions. While the change from Diplomat to Optum Specialty Pharmacy is underway, these kinds of changes take time. Over the next several months, you may see both brands when you use your specialty pharmacy.
Although some things will change, you can expect the same great service and hands-on care. Below are answers to some frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the name change, and what it means for you.
Our name and logo will be different. You’ll start to see the new name on your prescription label(s) and other places you used to see the Diplomat name. The pharmacy phone number and website you use to manage your specialty medications will also change.
We expect these changes to start happening mid-August through September.
Once your prescription(s) has moved to Optum Specialty Pharmacy, a patient care coordinator will call you within 5 to 7 days of your next refill to set up your order. Until we contact you, continue to order your medication refills through Diplomat.
