Optum provides a variety of software, data and health information services for health insurers, pharmacy benefit managers, hospitals, provider offices, pharmaceutical companies and other businesses in the health care industry across the globe. In addition, Optum owns OptumRx, a pharmacy care services company that manages the prescription drug benefits of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid and other government health plans, as well as those of employers and unions through a national network of 67,000 community pharmacies. Optum also own a nationwide network of specialty and infusion pharmacies to serve the needs of individuals with complex conditions and treatments.

The joining of Diplomat and Optum’s specialty and infusion pharmacies will allow us to combine our data, analytics and expertise to help boost efficiencies, save money and improve health outcomes. This is expected to benefit the patient and provider by creating enhanced specialty and infusion services and solutions, support and care coordination. 

You can still call the same phone numbers and reach the same representative you are used to working with. As we integrate, we will maintain our partnership by continuing to communicate with you and the patient regarding any changes prior to implementation. Though our name is changing we remain focused on exceptional patient care.

It is our goal to ensure a seamless transition for the patient. We will keep the patient informed of any material changes and will work with them to make sure they receive the same level of service they have come to know.
